Espresso Caramel Brownies are rich fudgy and packed with deep coffee flavor that you’ll crave!
Ingredients
Scale:
1 cup All-purpose flour
1/2 cup Cocoa powder
1 cup Granulated sugar
1/2 cup Brown sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) Unsalted butter
2 large Eggs
2 tablespoons Espresso powder
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup (for drizzling) Homemade caramel sauce
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove it from heat and whisk in both sugars until combined.
Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and espresso powder.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined; do not overmix.
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to overbake; you want them to remain fudgy.
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then drizzle with homemade caramel sauce. Let them cool completely before slicing into squares.
