Ingredients
Scale:
4 cups All-purpose flour
1/2 cup Granulated sugar
2 1/4 teaspoons Active dry yeast (1 packet)
1 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Milk (warm)
1/4 cup Unsalted butter (melted)
2 large Eggs
1 cup (packed) Brown sugar
2 tablespoons Cinnamon
1 cup Crispy bacon (cooked and crumbled)
1/2 cup Maple syrup
1/4 cup Bourbon
Instructions
In a small bowl, combine the warm milk and yeast. Let it stand for about 5 minutes until foamy.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and salt. Create a well in the center and add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs.
Knead the dough by hand or using a stand mixer with a dough hook for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a cloth. Let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1-2 hours.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Punch down the risen dough and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
Spread the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture over the dough, then sprinkle the crumbled bacon evenly on top.
Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other, then slice into 12 equal rolls. Place rolls in a greased baking dish.
Cover the rolls and let them rise again for about 30 minutes until puffy.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
While the rolls are baking, prepare the bourbon maple glaze by whisking together the maple syrup and bourbon in a bowl.
Once baked, drizzle the warm glaze over the rolls while they are still hot. Serve immediately and enjoy!
