A refreshing and indulgent dessert that combines sweet, juicy pineapple with the warmth of rum, creating a tropical treat.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 can (or 1 medium-sized fresh pineapple) - Pineapple rings (fresh or canned)
1/4 cup - Dark rum
2 tablespoons - Brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon - Cinnamon
1 tablespoon, melted - Butter (optional)
Instructions
If using fresh pineapple, peel, core, and slice it into rings, about 1/2-inch thick. If using canned, drain the rings well.
In a bowl, combine the rum, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Mix well until the sugar is dissolved.
Add the pineapple rings to the rum mixture, making sure each ring is well-coated. Let them soak for at least 15 minutes, or longer if possible for deeper flavor.
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
Arrange the soaked pineapple rings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. If desired, lightly brush with melted butter for added richness.
Cook the pineapple rings for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and caramelized.
Once done, remove the rings from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
